Day 2 Nairobi / Amboseli National Park
Your safari takes off with a flight to Amboseli National Park. Upon checking into your well-appointed tented camp, meet your expert ranger for an afternoon game drive. Capture photos of some of Africa’s largest elephants with the snowcapped Mt. Kilimanjaro as the backdrop. Cap off your day with traditional sundowners as you marvel at views of Africa’s highest mountain in the twilight.

Day 3 Amboseli National Park
Start your day with an early game drive, where you might encounter big cats still sated from their night’s hunt. Keep an eye out for wildebeests, zebras, impalas, and warthogs, and challenge yourself to spot as many of the 300 bird species as possible.

Day 4 Amboseli / Lewa Wildlife Conservancy
Fly to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in the beautiful Laikipia region. Meet your ranger and start exploring the conservancy’s diverse ecosystems. You’ll be delighted by the varied wildlife?—?70 different mammals including a thriving rhino population and some 350 species of birds. Be sure to watch for the endangered Grevy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe. Tonight, raise your glass to the views of Mt. Kenya.

Day 5 Lewa Wildlife Conservancy
After a thrilling game drive, learn about the conservancy’s globally recognized work. Engage in a project, tour their offices, or meet the tracker dogs while they train. Visit a local Samburu community to explore their traditional way of life, which has remained unchanged for centuries.

Day 6 Lewa Wildlife Conservancy / Maasai Mara National Reserve
The adventure continues as you fly to the Maasai Mara, Kenya’s premier game reserve. Your traditional safari camp, situated along the Sand River, is ideally located for witnessing the annual migration of over a million wildebeests and zebras. Camera in hand, meet your ranger and embark on a game drive across the reserve’s expansive grasslands. You’ll be awed by the vast herds of plains game and diverse wildlife.

Day 7 Maasai Mara National Reserve
Rise with the animals for your morning game drive, and keep an eye out for black-maned lions, leopards, and cheetahs returning from their nocturnal hunts. Explore the winding riverbanks, where hippos and crocodiles congregate in their favored feeding spots.

Day 8 Maasai Mara National Reserve
Spend the day enjoying various game viewing activities. Greet the sunrise with an optional hot air balloon ride (additional cost), or visit a traditional Maasai homestead and learn more about their cattle-based culture. After dinner, gather around the campfire and share your favorite wildlife photos with your safari companions.

Day 9 Maasai Mara National Reserve / Arusha, Tanzania
Cross the border with a flight to Arusha, where you’ll be met on arrival and transferred to your lodge, a peaceful retreat tucked within a coffee plantation. Relax and explore as you please. Visit the Shanga Workshop which employs people with disabilities and from underrepresented populations to create jewelry.

Day 10 Arusha / Ngorongoro Crater
Explore magical Lake Manyara, with seasonal pink-hued flamingos and some 400 species of birds lining its shore. Your ranger will seek out the park’s fabled tree-climbing Manyara lions and enjoy a picnic lunch. Continue on to your beautiful lodge near the Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 11 Ngorongoro Crater
Descend 2,000 feet into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its unique biosphere and diverse wildlife. Watch herds of elephants, prides of lions, leaping gazelles, and numerous zebras and wildebeests. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor as part of your experience.
